Materials

• Pencil
• Drawing Paper
• Crayons or Colored Pencils
• Black Marker (optional)

By the end of this lesson we will arrive at a finished drawing of dragon wings by crafting one section at a time. This project will take 6 steps in total as we continue to draw each section moving closer to the finished drawing. The completed artwork will be topped off with color creating a drawing you will love!

Time Needed: 20 minutes

1. Form The Primary Wing Bones

   Start by drawing the primary bones of the dragon’s wings.

2. Attach Claws

   Attach claws at the tips of bones as shown.

3. Add The Secondary Bones

   Add the thin, pointed bones extending from the primary wing bones similar to the illustration.

4. Outline The Webbing Of The Wings

   Outline the webbing of the dragon’s wings by drawing curved lines.

5. Add Texture To The Bones

   Draw short lines to add some texture to the wing bones.

6. Complete The Dragon Wings Drawing

   Let’s add some color to our drawing of dragon wings! First, color the claws with a yellow crayon. Next, fill in the bones with a dark brown crayon. Then, shade the webbing of the wings with red and orange crayons.
