Materials

• Pencil
• Drawing Paper
• Crayons or Colored Pencils
• Black Marker (optional)

In this beginner’s lesson, we are going to learn how to draw a scary face with your drawing materials. Be sure to observe the different sizes and shapes contained in the example drawing of the scary face. The lines in each step is drawn out in blue so you can plainly see the most recent shapes that you will be drawing.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

1. Outline The Left Eye

   Outline the slanted shape of the left eye by drawing a semi-circle cut diagonally.

2. Draw The Right Eye

   Draw the right eye by drawing another semi-circle, but this time, cut diagonally in the opposite direction.

3. Add The Nose

   Add the triangular-like shape of the nose below the scary eyes.

4. Form The Mouth

   Draw the shape of the mouth forming a chilling smile using a zigzag line.

5. Draw The Teeth

   Draw razor sharp teeth by creating V-shaped lines inside the mouth.

6. Complete The Scary Face Drawing

   Let’s make our drawing of a scary face even more frightening by adding some color! First, use a red crayon to color the eyes. Next, shade the nose with a black crayon. Now, color the fangs with a white crayon. Then, fill in the inside of the mouth with a dark red crayon.
