About This Video
This video is the first in a series of classes on how to draw western floral patterns. To really understand how to draw a pattern that makes sense, you also have to think through how you are going to carve it.
So that this can be taught and understood correctly, this series will be broken down into 4 initial classes, each focusing on one of the key elements of floral patterns: floral, scrolls, acanthus leaves, and broad leaves. A final class will also be offered on putting all of these elements together to create a graceful floral design to fit any project.
The first half focused on understanding how to create the floral component of patterns, and the second half of the class carving the pattern you just created to understand why we make certain design decisions.
This is a recording of a live, online class, so viewers benefit from both audience questions and workshop moderation.
