How to Draw Applejack, My Little Pony

Table of Contents

1

Start with two shapes, one for the head and another for the body. You will add one face guide and move along to step two.

2

Instead of drawing out the shape of the face, you will sketch out the mane. AS you can see it is shaped like a leaf with soft serrated edges. Draw out the ear and proceed on.

3

Okay guys, draw in the pony’s face which includes the nose, mouth, and face. Draw in her excited looking expression, and then draw out her chest.

4

Color in her pupil, and then draw some freckles on the cheek. Next, draw in strand lines in her mane for added texture. When that is all done you can draw her cute little cowgirl hat.

5

Here you will draw her mane tied in a ponytail to finish her hair off. Since most southern girls wear ponytails, of course Applejack will have one too. Detail her hair and that’s it for this step.

6

As you can see your pony is coming along nicely. All you have to do now is draw out her front legs and hooves as well as the stomach, back, and hind leg.

8

Cap off the tail with her flowing ends. Add a couple of strand lines on her tail, and add a elastic band and three apples on her thigh. Erase the shapes and guides to clean up the drawing.

Description: For the last lesson of the day I think I will finally submit the last pony from the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series, and then I will be done with making the pony lessons. This tutorial is going to show you “how to draw Applejack”, step by step. Applejack is a wicked cool earth pony and I love her colors. Applejack is orange with a yellow or blond colored mane and tail. She has a very heavy southern tone to her voice, and like real southern people or girls, she isn’t afraid to tell you how it is. I guess that’s why Applejack is also considered to be selfish and thick headed. She gets her name from being named after her family’s apple orchard business. All of her family members have a apple related name, and she comes from a large family. Anyways, I don’t know what else I can really say about her except she is one of the more exciting characters to draw from the My Little Pony franchise. I think you will enjoy learning to draw Applejack even if you are not a big Pony fan. Have fun guys and be sure to meet me back here tomorrow for more drawing fun. Adios mi amigos!
